The actual micro-incision phacoemulsification surgery typically takes 10 to 15 minutes. It is a day-care procedure, meaning you go home the same day. Most patients resume light, normal activities within 24 to 48 hours, though rigorous exercise and swimming should be avoided for a few weeks.

While the damage already caused by severe diabetic retinopathy cannot be fully reversed, advanced treatments like anti-VEGF injections and retinal laser therapy can halt its progression, stabilize your current vision, and prevent permanent blindness if detected and treated early.

While we highly recommend booking an appointment to minimize your wait time for general consultations, we absolutely accept walk-ins for ocular emergencies, sudden vision loss, and eye trauma. Priority is always given to critical cases.
